.5 Credit-Elective
Grades 11, 12
*Administrative approval required

Online classes are now available to students that are interested in an elective class that is either not offered by St. Mary’s or doesn’t fit in the student’s schedule.  An online class must be approved by the principal and any student 17 or under must have written parental consent to enroll in an online class.  Online classes will be taken in the high school computer lab during one of the regularly scheduled periods throughout the school day. Classes are offered through Brigham Young University and typically have an additional cost of $140 per 1/2 credit. If textbooks or other supplemental materials are required, they are not included in the price of tuition.  BYU’s Independent High School Program is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. No credit for the online learning course will be awarded if the student does not successfully complete the course or program.  St. Mary’s will insure that all computers used by students for online learning will have appropriate internet filtering and blocking technology along with the necessary software and hardware to fully participate in the online class. Courses worth .5 credit need to be completed within one semester.
