Preschool Programs
St. Mary’s Preschool offers a comprehensive program in a safe, family-like environment that focuses on the total student.
The developmental needs of the child are met physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually by various activities and opportunities provided to the child. Through hands-on activities, guided play, and loving support, our 3- and 4-year-olds build important foundations in every area of development.


3-Year-Old Program
Families expressed the importance of maintaining a part-time option with added flexibility. Beginning in 2026–27, we will offer:
- 2 or 3 days per week
- 2 days: Monday & Wednesday
- 3 days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
- Extended morning hours: 8:00–11:00 a.m.
- Transportation Available
4-Year-Old Program
Based on family interest, we are excited to provide both part-time and full-time options:
- Half-Day Options
- Morning or Afternoon
- Core academics included in either session
- Full-Day Option
- Morning academics
- Afternoon enrichment
Afternoon Enrichment Includes:
- Lunch
- Rest time
- Free play
- Music
- Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Families may choose:
- 4 days per week: Monday–Thursday
- 5 days per week: Monday–Friday
- Transportation Available

Academic Readiness
Your child will begin developing early learning skills such as:
- Recognizing letters and sounds
- Counting and number sense
- Listening to stories and sharing ideas
- Learning shapes, colors, and patterns
- Beginning writing and fine motor skills
These early experiences help prepare children for kindergarten and beyond.
Physical Development
Daily movement and play help children strengthen their growing bodies through:
- Running, jumping, and climbing
- Playground and indoor movement activities
- Fine motor practice like coloring, cutting, and building
Social & Emotional Growth
Children practice:
- Sharing and taking turns
- Following routines and directions
- Expressing feelings
- Building friendships
- Growing in independence and confidence
Preschool is also about learning how to be part of a community.
Faith & Character
In our Catholic preschool, children are introduced to God’s love in age-appropriate ways. They learn:
- Simple prayers
- That God loves them
- How to be kind, respectful, and caring
- How to treat others with compassion
